Matthew Mather

Matthew Mather is the Founder of Steel Futures and Managing Director of Anderton Structures, with over a decade of experience in the structural steel industry.

Starting his career as an apprentice, Matthew has progressed through a range of roles across fabrication, engineering, construction and project delivery, giving him a practical, ground-level understanding of how the industry operates and where the key challenges lie.

Through his experience, he has developed a strong focus on early careers and workforce development, recognising the gap between attracting people into the industry and supporting them to succeed once they arrive.

Matthew founded Steel Futures to help bridge that gap, working with companies to improve how they attract, prepare and develop the next generation of talent within the Structural Steel sector.
