David Chilton
David has over 25 years’ experience in housing and development, delivering high quality schemes through strong partnerships across the public and private sectors.
His placemaking approach and focus on creative, value adding solutions have helped expand Rowlinson’s role in the market. Notable examples include the flagship, award winning regeneration of The Depot, Manchester, estate regeneration at Hattersley, Tameside, and the first two developments at Trafford Waters, part of TraffordCity, one of Manchester’s most ambitious regeneration programmes.
He has been instrumental in strengthening Rowlinson’s role in sustainable development – delivering schemes such as zero and very low carbon social rent homes at Silk Street – and has expanded its expertise in later living solutions, from extra care and nursing led accommodation to step down care and HAPPI inspired designs across Manchester, Stockport, Tameside and Trafford.
Before joining Rowlinson, David worked in Greater Manchester as Head of Area for the Homes and Communities Agency (Homes England), delivering award winning schemes including New Islington.
